SUpporting local business
After meeting with Leslie Turnage, executive director of the Evans Chamber of Commerce, it became clear to me that establishing a business-friendly environment for job creators in our community is imperative. Finding ways to incentivize local entrepreneurs, along with regional and national store brands to invest and build in Evans will be a top priority for me representing Ward 3 on City Council.
REBUILDING INFRASTRUCTURE
Culverts are crumbling. 49th Street is in dire need of repairs in Ward 3. Water main breaks are all too common. We need more than just talk and studies, we need a plan of action and tangible results. After consulting with Mayor Mark Clark, I am determined to help continue the progress and vision for Evans he provided and spearhead City Council’s efforts in taking necessary steps to rebuild our infrastructure in a cost-effective manner.
FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY
Maintaining a sustainable budget, with transparency and accountability to the residents of Ward 3, will be a paramount responsibility for me as your representative on City Council. A disciplined, methodical approach to funding efforts is essential to a thriving Evans that can operate within its means. Prioritizing economic growth and return on investment with regard to all spending projects must be our consistent guiding principle.
